We can help you achieve all of this by connecting you to a great future through
an electrical trade.
any industry you decide
Electrical trades reach across a whole range of industries from mining, civil construction, engineering, security and telecommunications through to domestic and commercial building and construction.
The biggest challenge working in the electrical industry won’t be getting a job - it will be choosing which industry you want to work in and picking the job that is exactly what you’re looking for.
CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY
By joining the electrical trade you will be part of one of the most dynamic and technically advanced tradespeople around.
The electrical industry is at the cutting edge of technology – technology that is always changing to meet the future demands of industry.
An electrical trade is your ticket to working with the latest in computer technology, software, control systems, building automation, audiovisual technology and electronic components and appliances.
a different job every day
Not only is technology in the electrical industry changing, the type of work you do and where
you do it can also be different from day-to-day.
Electricians work inside and outside at building sites, mining operations, houses and commercial buildings, industrial plants, factories and offices. They also often travel
to and from different work sites throughout
the day.
top pay in a top trade
Electricians are among the highest paid
trades people.
Many electricians who run their own business earn more money than university graduates and as an added bonus - they don’t have a university loan to pay off when they qualify in their trade.
From the very first day of your apprenticeship you will earn a wage, which increases each year until you are qualified. The opportunity to earn great money can then be found in all sorts of places, including starting your own business.
all about lifestyle
The electrical trade can be flexible in working hours, which gives you great lifestyle benefits over other jobs.
Early morning starts can mean finishing work mid afternoon giving you the time to surf, skate, hang out with friends and do all the other things you can’t do in a nine to five job.
YOUR FUTURE - YOUR CHOICE
Once you finish an electrical apprenticeship there’s no limit to where your career can go.
You might end up managing projects and teams of people, doing further study in management or business or using your trade as the basis for university or further study.
A WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY
Once you are qualified as an electrician you can work anywhere in Western Australia and in most states across the country.
Australian electrical qualifications are also very highly regarded internationally. This means you can travel overseas and use your qualifications and skills to get a job in a range of different countries.
