The following paragraphs are from a first year apprentice workbook.

Read the paragraphs and answer the questions.

Included in this workbook are review questions and practical assignments for each of the eight sections of this learning module.  The review questions will test your knowledge and can be attempted either as homework or as the teacher directs.  The answers to the questions are also included at the end of the workbook.  The practical assignments will form part of each lesson and will allow you to practice what you have learnt.  These assignments will also train you to use electrical measuring equipment and how to work on an electrical circuit with safety.

At the end of the module you’ll be given a competency test.  You need to pass all sections of the test to pass the module.  If you fail any of the parts, you’ll be allowed a retest, of the incomplete sections.  Each test has a number of parts, in which a certain number of questions need to be answered correctly.
